The Boy Scouts Weren’t Prepared for Child Sex Abuse Charges

The Boy Scouts of America is under fire for child sexual abuse allegations.

Lawsuits have been filed, and The Boy Scouts group is concerned about bankruptcy. They want to hold onto their lands where children camp, and play, and get molested.

Now, The Boy Scouts of America is screwed. Insurance companies are not covering their sexual abuse lawsuits. The insurance folks claim that proper precautions and after-the-fact actions were inadequate. In turn, The Boy Scouts association is suing for lack of coverage, as if a pedophilia rider was policy standard. read more

Religious People versus Your Genitals

I recently read a disturbing article about Sharia law being adopted into a tiny area in Indonesia where gays are forewarned that they will now be stoned to death for homosexual activity.

This isn’t anything new for numerous nations who invoke religion to perpetrate homicidal acts, which is an incredible contradiction even in the biblical realm.

Yet, it continues to amaze me how much the super-religious are overly obsessed with the genitals of others.

Talk about anal-retentive.

What Happened to Free Speech in America?

Jeanine Pirro of Fox News came under heavy criticism last weekend for her remarks about Ilhan Omar, a Minnesota representative in the United States House of Congress.

Ms. Pirro made numerous good points. Yet, only one tidbit among her ten minute video editorial was picked up by other media outlets to be aired and declared as a racist rant. Pirro questioned Omar’s wearing of the hijab: “Is her adherence to this Islamic doctrine indicative of her adherence to Shariah law, which in itself is antithetical to the United States Constitution?” read more

The New Catholic Slogan: Priests will be Priests

This blog is inspired by a recent news article I read, and posted, about the Pope’s anniversary being marked with the sentencing of convicted child molester, George Pell. The last sentence in the article reads, “And in the U.S., a Gallup poll found 37 percent of U.S. Catholics question remaining in the church.” –Associated Press.

WTF!? What is there to think about?

Yet, I have seen many documentaries where abused children who are now adults still question whether or not they should belong to this sick society. They can’t come to terms with their want for God and faith within the frames of this network. Even their own family members still argue for the religious cause that did their child in. read more

Don’t Look a Gift Goat in the Mouth

I hesitate to cite my source for the inspiration of this blog.

https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/if-churches-want-to-get-millennials-to-enter-their-doors-they-need-to-do-this

This ad . . .  er um . . . article, by Judah and Chelsea Smith, is about getting folks back into religion, including brick and mortar churches. Unfortunately for those on the take, millennials and others prefer to experience the world on Sunday, rather than sit-in for some dude’s dialogue that distorts the disturbing bible into a random feel-good or doom-and-gloom speech. read more

Communion: Spreading Disease in the Name of Jesus

I’m not OCD and I’m not a hypochondriac, but the practice of communion is questionable.

First, a cute story. As a child, I went to church with one of my friends. My family wasn’t into the church thing, so I had no clue what was going on. At some point all of the people rose from their seats and went down to the front to get a little goodie. My friend’s mother told me to stay in my chair. This made me angry.

When I got home, I told my mom that everyone had snack except for me. Later, my friend’s mom called to explain that she withheld me from communion because I wasn’t a member of the church. She said she felt bad and wished she had let me participate. It turns out I may have dodged a bullet. read more

Penis Envy

So there I was redditting when I came across a diddy in Ezekiel 20 that amused me. Somehow, I missed including a good biblical passage into my book, Sex in the Name of God.

Ezekiel 23 20 There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses.

There is a hint of jealousy regarding size, and God forbid women should get any big ideas.

This sounds like a true case of “penis envy,” a term coined by the famous Sigmund Freud wherein women don’t have penises; therefore they are envious of men. read more

Religion and Stupid Women

Religious institutions, especially Catholicism, have not been kind to women. Nuns are very much on the decline because they weren’t taken care of as well as the men. Women also complain that the opportunity for rising up in the ranks is poor.

Having women in charge might fix a whole lotta messes.

Yet, it is beyond me why women would want to claw their way to the top of an organization that views them with less regard, is overly concerned with their vaginas, extols money, and molests children. read more

Bloody Women

Many solar eclipses ago, I knew a guy who always carried a towel. He was an employee of the father of a friend. Whenever he came around, he would always place his towel on a chair before sitting down.

Was this dude a character straight out of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy? Besides this one obsession, he didn’t seem to exhibit any other OCD behaviors, and he didn’t seem like a neat freak. To the contrary, he was usually somewhat disheveled and more than a little sweaty.

So one day, I finally ask the guy: “Why do you always sit on a towel?” read more

Deathbed Regrets

A fellow Redditor was questioning the purpose and meaning of life.  This person felt that life had more meaning with religion, but had become an atheist and was thinking that life now had less purpose.

I didn’t and don’t understand this. I was going to approach this question numerous different ways. In the end, I focused on the end game, and was very proud of a few thoughts. Feel free to reuse.

The meaning and purpose of life is easily answered when hand-delivered to you via religion.

Focus on relationships, and the here and now. Deathbed regrets don’t lie. read more
