Religious institutions, especially Catholicism, have not been kind to women. Nuns are very much on the decline because they weren’t taken care of as well as the men. Women also complain that the opportunity for rising up in the ranks is poor.
Having women in charge might fix a whole lotta messes.
Yet, it is beyond me why women would want to claw their way to the top of an organization that views them with less regard, is overly concerned with their vaginas, extols money, and molests children.
Religion intrigues me because a small group of people who follow a leader, and ascribe to certain practices, is often viewed as a cult. Add in millions of people and suddenly this is a norm.
I had never read the bible before. Besides wanting to know what people were really following, I was curious to learn about the basics. How would sex and politics be treated within a religious guideline? Well, I found out.
The bible: Wow. It’s disturbing.
Putting all murder and mayhem aside, I can now say that if you like sex, and lots of it, then the bible is for you. There was more than enough material to write a book about the juiciest parts; a whooping 197 pages.
The frogs have spoken.
A letter generated in France signed off by numerous women, has come out in defense of men with regards to sexual man bashing. #MeToo The press has picked up on the most notable signature of Catherine Deneuve, who is probably the most gorgeous woman. . . ever, but ironically, a movie star. No one cares to headline the fact that she didn’t participate in the writing of the letter.
Americans love tabloid junk and that is why Ms. Deneuve’s famous head is on the chopping block. Us real smart USAers might know her from the movie called The Hunger costarring David Bowie. Sex, romance. . . and vampires, another thing we love, and now American ladies are out for blood.
Al Franken’s political career: Over. Could he go back to comedy? Probably not.
Bill Maher, known for comedy, is in hot water for reenacting Al Franken’s picture of mock-u-groping a fellow comedian. Mr. Franken’s picture was with a woman, Leeann Tweeden while Mr. Maher’s pic was with Bob Saget.
Aha, a role reversal. What could it mean? Is this political comedy or victim shaming? Does it make fun of women’s rights?
Women have a hard time being on the same par as men when they are breaking into areas where men are in power. I get it.
People are way over thinking sexuality. You are confusing yourselves and others with the Ze and Zir thing. I still think it’s an affront to truly transgender persons.
That’s great that you are adding words to the dictionary. Who doesn’t love new definitions? For schizzle my nizzle.
However, I Wilfred, am here to help everyone get back to basics.
I will agree that the English language is limited and sexist. There is sir for men which means you don’t know if that guy is married or not, what parts he has, and who he wants to have sex with. Then there is miss, missus or Mrs., truly misogynistic as we know nothing of their parts or sexuality, except that these women are single or married. Even Ms. was revised but it backfired as people thought she was an unmarried female who didn’t want to be known as such.
State Representative Jessica Farrar has introduced a bill for Texas legislation making male masturbation illegal, as every single sperm is a potential child.
True that. And, you go, girl.
Abortion is a controversial subject. The people are evenly divided.
As a man, I can’t entirely comment on the female perspective: the circumstances, the decision, the how and why.
For the con, I have seen abortion animations where a baby is pulled apart limb by limb. It is disturbing.
For the pro. I don’t believe a woman’s decision should be subjected to oversight by a legal system, including professional opinions or otherwise.
My Grandmother, the English teacher would be so proud of me for knowing both of these words, and also for paying it forward. In other words, for you cat-calling fools, Grandma would be proud of me for sticking up for the ladies.
cat·call, ˈkatˌkôl, verb, gerund or present participle: cat-calling
- make a whistle, shout, or comment of a sexual nature to a woman passing by.
Hello men: I’m not sure what the heck you are thinking, as if all your hollering will lead to a sexual encounter, or earn the respect of the gals you are being completely inconsiderate of.
Stop embarrassing the rest of our gender by reducing yourself to a guttural caveman. Women already think we are cavemen. You don’t need to reinforce this stereotype.
Did you go out after 8 or 9 pm? Well then, you deserved it.
Didn’t you know that it is a man’s right to have fun?
If you are a man, you will probably become angry. If you are a woman, you will become SUPER angry. Watch “India’s Daughter” by director Leslee Udwin.
This documentary makes America’s women’s rights issues look tame compared to the sickening crap I heard coming from the mouths of men. The average man, the rapists, the defense lawyers and even men in political office said some seriously disturbing shit.
What the heck is going on in India?
I was watching a documentary called “Dowry Law” on Netflix.
It isn’t uncommon for marriages to be set up by parents in lieu of love. The engrained monetary rituals are quite the heavy burden as the bride’s family pays for the entire wedding, including gifts for all who come. However, additional large sums of money and gifts are also expected to be forked over directly to the groom and his family. Ironically, this sets the young bride up for murder by means of “kitchen fire.”
