A lot of southern states keep trying to adopt the display of the Ten Commandments in public arenas, including state buildings and school classrooms. Of course, backlash follows, and rightfully so.
This goes against the First Amendment, but so should placing your hand on the good book of rape and murder before swearing an oath in court.
In any event, there are many more disturbing commandments in the bible. I plopped five of them into a fun video, but I have to point out the most screaming hypocrisy.
Numbers 31 15 Moses said to them, “Have you saved all the women alive? 16 Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and so the plague was amongst the congregation of the LORD. 17 Now therefore kill every male amongst the little ones, and kill every woman who has known man by lying with him. 18 But all the girls, who have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.”
Moses commanded the execution of women and little boys, as well as the enslavement of virgin girls, two books after God spoke to him about the Ten Commandments.
Reconcile this as you will.
Protesters: Feel free to display these dubious commandments next to the ten famous ones.
